The most successful websites on the Internet are those that display up-to-date information, through the Website Manager system you can update your website yourself, for free, quickly and easily, at any time of day, from anywhere in the world, and all you need is access to the Internet.
The Website Manager system is incredibly easy to use, you don't need to know any programming code or have any website design experience. Since you can build and update your own website, you don't need to wait for, or pay for, a costly website designer to do it for you.
The Website Manager package includes everything your business needs to establish an online presence:
- Domain name
- Hosting
- Access to the Website Manager system
- Use of the website design

The Website Manager system is itself a website that you can log into, securely, as often as you like, so you don't need to download and install the software on your own computer, and you can update your website from a computer other than your own.
Once you log in, there are several options that enable you to control all aspects of your website, conveniently accessible in one place. There is a comprehensive help system that we continuously update based on our customer feedback, and easy-to-follow tutorials to show you how to get started and how to make the most of the system to create an eye-catching and successful website.
The Website Manager system can be used to create a simple or sophisticated website, and you can change your site as often as you like so you can always start with something simple and develop it over time, with help from the online tutorials, to create a more interesting website.

The Website Manager system is targeted towards new Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) that want a website for their business and existing businesses that have a website and want to avoid the crippling fees that website designers charge for updates.
However, the Website Manager system can be used by absolutely anybody who wants a website, organisations from global blue-chip companies to individuals wanting to tell the world what they did last weekend.
You can also allow multiple users to access the system, and restrict what actions they can perform on your website.

Editor Toolbar
You can easily add content to your website's pages using the Website Manager system's easy to use "Microsoft Word" style interface known as a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor. It enables you to add, edit and delete the information on your webpages including:
Text
Type in text and see it formatted right in front of your eyes, choose from a variety of styles including normal paragraphs, headings, sub headings, indented, aligned, bold, italic, underlined and highlighted text and combinations. Using a variety of styles structures the information on your website's pages and makes it easier for visitors to find the information they're looking for.Images
Insert images and photos at the click of a button and control their alignment with the surrounding text. Pictures paint a thousand words, so they say, and they are quite right – a nice image can help visitors visualise what your website is talking about.Lists
Add bullet points and automatically numbered lists to effectively communicate your message to your website's visitors and make the information easier to digest.Links
Add links to webpages on your site or to other websites from text or images within your pages. Links are the key to search engine success so its fortunate adding them is so easy.Tables
You can display data in a tabular format which can be useful for example for doing product comparisons or for creating columns like a newspaper or even for laying out thumbnail images in a picture gallery.
You can create an unlimited number of pages within your website, and you can always add more as your organisation grows.
You can easily organise your pages into categories and subcategories by creating a hierarchical tree structure up to 3 levels deep (i.e. parent, child and grandchild pages) that allows your website's visitors to easily find what they are looking for.
If you add another page, or want to move an existing page, you just position it where you want in the hierarchy and the menus and all navigation on all pages of your website will be updated automatically.
You can also have pages that aren't in your website's menu, which is ideal for when you are still developing a page but you don't want visitors to your website to see it until its finished, at which time you can reinstate it into the menu.
You can upload an unlimited number of images and photos to your website from your own computer and see thumbnails of all the images in one place, then view full size versions of individual images and delete them.
You can customise the font faces, sizes and colours of the text in each section of your website's template, and the background and border colours for all sections to match your organisations existing branding and publicity, or you can choose from several preset style themes. Changes are automatically applied to every page of your website.
You can monitor the growth of your website with statistics graphs that illustrate the average number of unique daily visitors in each month and the actual number of unique visitors every day in one month.
Prevent spam by choosing to encrypt your email address so that visitors to your site can see it, but the programs that scour the Internet extracting email addresses from websites to send unsolicited email to cannot harvest it.

The websites produced by the Website Manager system are template based which means you only have to update the information that is common to all pages once, and it is updated on all pages of your website automatically. This also means that your website has a consistent and professional look and feel across all its pages and is very intuitive and easy to use and navigate.
Chief Technology's proprietary template is coded using standards compliant technologies recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which means that:
- Your website loads really quickly, even for visitors with slow Internet connections.
- Your website looks the same in all modern web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera.
- Your website is optimised for Search Engines from a coding perspective.
- Your website prints well on all printers and does not lose information off the side of the page like on some websites.
Your website will be hosted on Chief Technology's dedicated server for maximum reliability and minimal downtime, and all your website data and images are backed up on a daily basis so you don't need to worry about it.

Included in the Website Manager package is the registration of the domain name of your choice, if you already own a domain name you can transfer it to Chief Technology's registrar free of charge.
We can also create an email account for you or set up email forwarding, which means all emails sent to an address at your domain will be forwarded to your existing email account.
You can have a "catch all" email account or forwarding, which means you can have unlimited email addresses and they all get sent to your account with Chief Technology or forwarded to your existing account.
You can have as many email forwardings set up as you want and if you need more than one email account we can set these up for you for a nominal fee.
Essentially, whatever your organisation's email requirements are, we can provide the solution.

When you sign up you get a personal login that provides unlimited access to manage your website 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
When you access Chief Technology's Website Manager System all the information you send and receive from and to your computer is encrypted using the same technology that banks use to protect their online banking systems, so rest assured your personal data is secure.
You need a username and password to login to the system and your password is stored in an encrypted format that no-one can obtain, not even us!
Whoever you choose to create a website for you, you have to supply the text and images, why do all the hard work yourself then pay through the nose to have it published on the Internet, when you can do that part yourself?

To access the Website Manager system you must have access to the Internet. Dial-up connections are fine but broadband is better.
Some functions within the Website Manager system require a modern web browser like Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or higher or Firefox. The colour picker tool used to customise colours of your website template requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, but you can still customise the colours by entering colour codes directly (information on this is provided in the help screens).
Certain functions in the system require you to have Java software on you computer. If you don't already have this "plug-in", the system will automatically download and install it for you.
You also need a domain name, which must be registered with Chief Technology's registrar, if you already have a domain name, you can transfer it to Chief Technology's registrar free of charge.

For a limited time only, the Website Manager package is available for a special introductory rate of only £249.00 per year.
Additional charges apply if you would like Chief Technology to build your website for you using the Website Manager system.
We offer pricing plans allowing you to sign up for up to 5 years to avoid any future price increases. You still pay annually and if you cancel before the end of the agreed period all you would owe is the difference in what you would have had to pay. Get in touch with us for more details.
We also offer friend referral schemes to our clients, whereby if one of your family or friends purchases the Website Manager package based on your recommendation, and you let us know, we'll give you a discount off your next renewal.

Contact Chief Technology to discuss your requirements.
